Compressive Neuropathies

Compressive Neuropathies

Compressive Neuropathies are among the most common causes of disability treated by Hand Surgeons.  They cause numbness/tingling, pain, weakness, feelings of swelling, and can lead to irreversible muscle wasting and loss of function.  The most common compressive neuropathies are Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, and Guyon's Canal Syndrome.  Other compressive neuropathies of the upper extremity are less common and include Wartenberg's syndrome, PIN Syndrome, Pronator Syndrome, and Radial Tunnel Syndrome.
