Terrible Triad Elbow Fracture Dislocation
Terrible Triad Fracture DISLOCATIONS of the elbow
Terrible Triad elbow injuries cause significant disability if not promptly and properly treated. They are comprised of an elbow dislocation, a radial head fracture, and a coronoid fracture. The ligamentous injuries are significant and without precise fixation, the elbow will progress to instability and arthritis.
Modern techniques such as use of an Internal Joint Stabilizer (IJS) enables early range of motion while letting the bony and soft tissue injuries heal.
